To authorize the Secretary of State, after first holding a hearing, to suspend for at least six months the driver’s license of an individual who has experienced an epileptic seizure, and for three months if the individual submits a statement of physical or mental history from a treating physician within 30 days after the last epileptic seizure. This bill authorizes the notification provisions, and House Bill 6217 authorizes the actual suspensions, along with a number of exceptions based on specific factors related to the individual’s condition.
