Give subsidies to employers of certain truck drivers to authorize state subsidies to employers of truck drivers, so as to lower the cost to the company of paying the wage or salary required to employ and retain enough licensed drivers to deliver goods to “any sector” determined by managers of the subsidy program to have “high demand” for drivers. The bill explicitly authorizes subsidies for the employers of drivers who transport “hazmat” materials and milk.
