To adopt an “omnibus” education budget for the 2022-2023 fiscal year that begins Oct. 1, 2022. The bill proposes spending $20.679 billion on K-12 public schools from all revenue sources, including federal money. State universities would get $1.852 billion, and $470 million would go to community colleges. Senate Bill 923 includes all other proposed state spending for the year.
