A bill to amend 1979 PA 94, entitled “The state school aid act of 1979,” by amending section 11 (MCL 388.1611), as amended by 2023 PA 3, and by adding section 97g.
The bill is a supplemental appropriation for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023, totaling $16,754,073,000.00 from the state school aid fund, $124,200,000.00 from the general fund, up to $72,000,000.00 from the community district education trust fund, and up to $140,400,000.00 from the MPSERS retirement obligation reform reserve fund, along with all available federal funds. It specifies the allocation of these appropriations and introduces a provision for districts to receive up to $100.00 for the 2022-2023 fiscal year for developing and implementing a numbering system, subject to application and approval.
