A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled “The Michigan penal code,” (MCL 750.1 to 750.568) by adding section 479d.
The bill proposes an amendment to the Michigan Penal Code (1931 PA 328) by adding section 479d. This amendment stipulates that an individual who approaches within 21 feet of a law enforcement officer's parked patrol vehicle while the officer is performing their duties, after being instructed not to, will be committing a misdemeanor. This offense is punishable by up to 90 days in prison, a fine of up to $600, or both.
