House Fiscal Agency Analysis

House Bill 4447 would create a new act to designate Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr as holidays in Michigan. Specifically, the legislature would declare that the tenth day of the month of Dhul Hijjah, according to the Islamic Hijri calendar, shall be known as Eid al-Adha, and the first day of the month of Shawwal, according to the Islamic Hijri calendar, shall be known as Eid alFitr.
