A bill to amend 1975 PA 238, entitled “Child protection law,” by amending section 7b (MCL 722.627b), as amended by 2011 PA 89.
Establishes county or multi-county child fatality review teams. These teams, comprising medical examiners, law enforcement, and local health department representatives, among others, are tasked with reviewing child fatalities within their jurisdictions. They are to receive interagency training on reviewing child fatalities, investigation techniques, and prevention initiatives.
