The bill outlines procedures for the detention and examination of individuals presented to designated hospitals for mental health assessments. It stipulates a maximum detention period of 24 hours for these individuals to be examined by a physician or licensed psychologist, unless a clinical certificate is already provided. If the individual is not found to require treatment, they must be released immediately.
