A bill to amend 1952 PA 8, entitled “Revised uniform reciprocal enforcement of support act,” by amending sections 9a and 19 (MCL 780.159a and 780.169), section 9a as added and section 19 as amended by 1985 PA 172.
The bill seeks to make all duties of support, including arrearages, enforceable through proceedings under this act, including civil contempt, and removes the defense of immunity due to marital or parent-child relationships for the obligor.
