A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled “The Michigan penal code,” by amending sections 30, 90, 166, and 335 (MCL 750.30, 750.90, 750.166, and 750.335), section 335 as amended by 2002 PA 672.
The bill proposes changes include making adultery a felony offense, punishable for both married and unmarried participants; criminalizing medical professionals who deceive patients into having sexual intercourse under the guise of health benefits, with a penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment; allowing spouses to testify against each other in prosecutions under this chapter; and defining cohabitation or lewd behavior between unmarried individuals, or open and gross lewd behavior between any two people, as a misdemeanor with penalties of up to one year in prison or a $1,000 fine.
