A bill to amend 1937 PA 321, entitled “Uniform veterans’ guardianship act,” by amending section 13 (MCL 35.83).
The bill stipulates that a guardian may only use the estate of their ward for the support and maintenance of the ward, the ward's minor children, and the ward's spouse, provided they are living together. Any deviation from this requires a petition to and approval by the court, with proper notice given to the veterans administration.
