A bill to amend 1976 PA 388, entitled “Michigan campaign finance act,” by amending section 61 (MCL 169.261), as amended by 2007 PA 66.
The bill allows individuals with a tax liability of $3.00 or more, and couples filing jointly with a liability of $6.00 or more, to designate $3.00 of their tax to the state campaign fund. This designation must be clearly stated on the first page of the state income tax return.
