A bill to amend 1976 PA 453, entitled “Elliott-Larsen civil rights act,” (MCL 37.2101 to 37.2804) by adding section 706.
Restricts the use of non-disclosure provisions in settlement agreements related to claims of assault, discrimination, harassment, or retaliation because of sex against an employer. It specifies that such agreements must not prevent or restrict the disclosure of factual information related to the claim, except for provisions that protect the claimant's identity or the settlement amount.
