A bill to amend 2000 PA 92, entitled “Food law,” by amending sections 3119, 4103, and 4117 (MCL 289.3119, 289.4103, and 289.4117), sections 3119 and 4103 as amended by 2018 PA 92 and section 4117 as amended by 2012 PA 178.

House Fiscal Agency Analysis

House Bill 4989 would amend the Food Law to extend a sunset (expiration date) for certain food service establishment licensing fees to December 31, 2027. If the sunset is not extended or eliminated, authority to collect the fees will end on December 31, 2023.
