A bill to regulate abortion after fetal viability and to define certain terms for purposes of section 28 of article I of the state constitution of 1963.
Regulates abortion after the point of fetal viability, as defined by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. It stipulates that abortions past this stage can only be performed if deemed medically necessary by a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, maternal fetal medicine specialist, or psychiatrist to protect the life or physical or mental health of the pregnant individual.
