A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled “The revised school code,” (MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1346.
Prohibits public schools in Michigan from entering into agreements or accepting grants from foreign countries identified as concerns if such agreements or grants restrict the school's contractual freedom, allow foreign control over curriculum or values, or promote agendas harmful to U.S. safety and security. The countries of concern listed include China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and Syria, along with any entities significantly controlled by these nations.
