A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled “The insurance code of 1956,” by amending section 3406d (MCL 500.3406d), as amended by 2016 PA 276, and by adding section 3406z.
Mandates that health insurance policies in Michigan must cover various breast cancer-related services, including diagnostic, outpatient treatment, rehabilitative services, and screening mammographies without applying dollar limits, deductibles, or copayments, and tailors coverage provisions based on age.
