A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled “The code of criminal procedure,” by amending section 16m of chapter XVII (MCL 777.16m), as amended by 2023 PA 22.
This bill seeks to update the classifications and penalties for various firearm-related felonies as outlined in chapter 750 of the Michigan Compiled Laws. These amendments include offenses related to the sale of firearms to minors, possession or sale of prohibited weapons such as silencers and automatic weapons, possession of armor-piercing ammunition, and the use of firearms under the influence, among others.
