A bill to amend 1978 PA 454, entitled “Truth in renting act,” (MCL 554.631 to 554.641) by adding section 4a.
Mandates the creation of a form by the state court administrative office, in consultation with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, within six months of the act's effective date. This form is to include a summary of tenant rights, a list of legal resources for tenants, and the operating 2-1-1 system telephone number. The form must be made available both in the state court administrative office and online, and starting six months after its creation, it is required to be attached as an addendum to all lease agreements provided to tenants in Michigan.
