A bill to amend 1917 PA 167, entitled “Housing law of Michigan,” (MCL 125.401 to 125.543) by adding section 130a.
Mandates that landlords or owners/agents of buildings must provide relocation assistance to tenants under certain conditions. These conditions include situations where an enforcing agency determines that the premises or building poses a health and safety hazard due to the landlord's inadequate maintenance or management, or if a building is deemed dangerous and ordered to be vacated or demolished.
