2023 House Bill 5318

Corrections: jails; persons authorized to visit in solitary imprisonment; expand to include clerics.

A bill to amend 1846 RS 171, entitled “Of county jails and the regulation thereof,” by amending section 3 (MCL 801.3).

Allows for the provision of food and other necessities, as well as visitation rights for clerics to convicts in solitary confinement.
