A bill to provide for the reduction of the salaries of certain legislative staffs during certain periods; and to provide for the powers and duties of certain state and local governmental officers and entities.
Reduces the salaries of certain legislative staff by 25% during periods when the legislature adjourns its regular session before December 1st until the commencement of the next regular session. The bill defines "policy-making staff in the legislature" to include roles such as policy directors or advisors for political parties, budget directors or advisors, and other employees in policy-making capacities, excluding clerical or non-policy-making employees.
