A companion bill to HB 5454 that would amend the sentencing guidelines chapter of the Code of Criminal Procedure to include the felony of installment sales of motor vehicles – acting without installment seller or sales finance company, as a Class F felony punishable by a statutory maximum of three years. The bill would not have a direct fiscal impact on the state or on local units of government.
