A bill to amend 1984 PA 431, entitled “The management and budget act,” (MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594) by adding section 364.
Mandates that for a house of the Michigan legislature to pass an appropriations bill containing a legislatively directed spending item, several criteria must be met. These include the requirement for the item to be sponsored by a legislator, who must provide a detailed written statement with specific information about the spending item, including its purpose, intended recipient, and a certification of no financial interest by the legislator or their immediate family.
