A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled “Public health code,” (MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 21525a.
Mandates that each hospital in Michigan must create and maintain for at least three years an accurate record of the actual nurse-to-patient ratios for each unit and shift. These records should detail the number of patients, the identity, and the working hours of each direct care registered nurse assigned to patients.
