A bill to amend 2012 PA 615, entitled “Michigan energy assistance act,” by amending sections 2, 3, 4, and 5 (MCL 400.1232, 400.1233, 400.1234, and 400.1235), and by adding section 4a.

SB 353 expands the number of people that can go on energy assistance programs (from 150% to 200% of federal poverty level) and removes any restrictions on the times that funds from the energy assistance fund can be used (from November 1-May 31 to the full year).
