A bill to amend 1939 PA 288, entitled “Probate code of 1939,” by amending sections 2d, 2f, and 4 of chapter XIIA (MCL 712A.2d, 712A.2f, and 712A.4), section 2d as amended by 2020 PA 389, section 2f as added by 2016 PA 185, and section 4 as amended by 1996 PA 409.

Senate Fiscal Agency Analysis

The bill would amend the juvenile Code to do the following: -- Modify the factors a court would have to consider before electing to try a juvenile in the same manner as an adult. -- Specify that the terms of a consent calendar case plan could not exceed three months unless the court made a specific determination otherwise.
