A bill to amend 2018 PA 540, entitled “Economic development incentive evaluation act,” by amending section 3 (MCL 18.1753).
To rename a program that hands out taxpayer money to select businesses from the Strategic Outreach and Attraction Reserve fund to the Make it in Michigan fund. The bill would also recognize provisions of another economic development proposal to spend 50% of the money put into the fund on local government and nonprofit group projects in areas that receive business subsidies.
