A bill to amend 2000 PA 489, entitled “Michigan trust fund act,” by amending sections 2 and 4 (MCL 12.252 and 12.254), section 2 as amended by 2023 PA 174 and section 4 as added by 2021 PA 137.
To rename a program that hands out taxpayer money to select businesses from the Strategic Outreach and Attraction Reserve fund to the Make it in Michigan fund. The bill would also recognize provisions of another economic development proposal to spend 50% of the money put into the fund on local government and nonprofit group projects in areas that receive business subsidies.
