A bill to create a Tricare premium reimbursement program; and to provide for the powers and duties of certain state governmental officers and entities.
Establishes a Tricare premium reimbursement program in Michigan. This program, overseen by the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, is designed to provide grants to eligible members of the Michigan National Guard or military reserve. These grants would cover premiums for individual coverage under the Tricare Reserve Select or Tricare Dental programs, both of which are voluntary health insurance plans for those not on active duty and without coverage through other means.
