A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled “The code of criminal procedure,” by amending section 13k (MCL 777.13k), as amended by 2018 PA 587.
Creates new felonies related to pathogen enhancement engineering, the use of live or dead embryos, fetuses, or neonates for research without consent, abortion for obtaining embryos or fetuses, the sale or delivery of these for certain purposes, unauthorized disclosure of social security numbers, disclosing confidential information about abortions, failure to inform authorities about the discovery of dead bodies to conceal death causes, and knowingly engaging in unprotected intercourse by HIV-positive individuals without informing their partner, among others.
