A bill to amend 1967 PA 150, entitled “Michigan military act,” (MCL 32.501 to 32.851) by adding section 203.
Stipulates that the Michigan National Guard and its members cannot be deployed into active duty combat unless the United States Congress has either declared war or explicitly called forth the state militia for specific constitutional purposes, such as executing federal laws, suppressing insurrections, or repelling invasions.
