A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” by amending section 234 (MCL 257.234), as amended by 2002 PA 552.
Senate 87 would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code to extend, from 15 days to 21 days, the time within which a person that is not a dealer must pay vehicle transfer fees. The bill would also increase, from $15 to $50, the transfer fee imposed after that deadline in addition to the regular fees that apply under section 806.
