This resolution proposes an amendment to the 1963 state constitution of Michigan, specifically amending section 13 of article IV, to limit the legislative session. According to the proposed amendment, except in extraordinary circumstances, the Michigan legislature would convene annually on the second Wednesday in January and must adjourn by a date set by concurrent resolution. From 2025 onwards, the legislature's meetings would be limited to no more than 90 consecutive days. This amendment is to be submitted to the voters of Michigan at the next general election for approval.
