A bill to amend 1961 PA 236, entitled “Revised judicature act of 1961,” (MCL 600.101 to 600.9947) by adding section 2980.
The bill establishes liability for individuals whose actions or animals cause harm to service animals, allowing owners to seek various damages, including economic, noneconomic, and punitive damages, and covers associated costs and attorney fees.
