A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled “Public health code,” (MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding sections 16112 and 20135.
The bill amends the Public Health Code to prevent health care providers from denying services based on a patient's refusal to allow photocopying or scanning of their identification, while still allowing identity verification and data capture.
