A bill to amend 1978 PA 90, entitled “Youth employment standards act,” by amending sections 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 20 (MCL 409.102, 409.104, 409.105, 409.107, 409.108, and 409.120), section 2 as amended by 1996 PA 438, section 4 as amended by 2011 PA 80, and section 5 as amended by 2020 PA 323, and by adding sections 4a, 4b, 4c, and 4d.
The bill amends the Youth Employment Standards Act to create a registration system for minors and employers, centralize the issuance of work permits, and enhance regulatory oversight and transparency.
