A bill to amend 2000 PA 489, entitled “Michigan trust fund act,” (MCL 12.251 to 12.262) by adding section 4a.
This new section would establish the Michigan Mobility Trust Fund within the state treasury, which would be managed by the state treasurer. The fund is designed to receive and invest monies from various sources, and its balance would not lapse at the end of the fiscal year. The management of the fund, including auditing, would be overseen by the Transformational Projects Authority, and expenditures from the fund would be exclusively for purposes authorized under the Transformational Projects Authority Act.
