A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled “The insurance code of 1956,” (MCL 500.100 to 500.8302) by adding section 3157c.
The bill amends the Michigan Insurance Code to establish payment guidelines for health care providers treating insured individuals, including penalties for overdue claims, and clarifies the roles of insurers and claimants in the payment process.
