A bill to amend 2008 PA 295, entitled “Clean and renewable energy and energy waste reduction act,” by amending the title and section 13 (MCL 460.1013), as amended by 2023 PA 235; and to repeal acts and parts of acts.

Senate Bill 898 repeals Public Act 233 of 2023, which provides siting authority to the Commission for utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage facilities under specified conditions. Such authority had previously resided with local governments.
