An act to amend 1987 PA 264, entitled “An act to provide for the creation of the health and safety fund; to provide for the deposit of certain money in that fund; to provide for the distribution of the money in that fund and to limit its use; to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state officials; and to provide for an appropriation,” by amending section 5 (MCL 141.475), as amended by 2009 PA 60.

The bill also specifies that $1 million must be distributed for public health prevention programs and services, and the remaining funds must be used for county jail or juvenile facility operations, maintenance, expansion, or court operations.
