If any of this information changes, the school entities are required to update their websites within 30 days to ensure accuracy. The legislation allows for the use of shared contact methods, provided that communications sent through these methods are transmitted to the intended member. Alternatively, instead of posting the contact information directly, these educational entities may provide a link to the governing body's public website, given that the website contains the required contact information and is updated accordingly. This bill introduces a new section, 1202b, to the Revised School Code of 1976 (MCL 380.1 to 380.1852), thereby modifying the existing legal framework to enhance transparency and accessibility of school governance.
