A bill to amend 1974 PA 258, entitled “Mental health code,” by amending section 416 (MCL 330.1416), as amended by 2018 PA 595.
The bill amends the Mental Health Code to ensure patients are informed of their rights, including the right to terminate treatment, through both oral and written communication at the start of mental health treatment.
