2001 House Bill 4874 ↩
House Roll Call 755:
Passed
And revised again in the House, to require schools to exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) student directory information requested for surveys, marketing, or solicitation, unless the use is consistent with the educational mission and beneficial to the affected students. The amendment would allow the school district to require requester to sign an affidavit saying the information won’t be used, rented, or sold for these purposes. This language replaces the previous exceptions to the exemption.
