2002 House Bill 5674 ↩
Senate Roll Call 284:
Passed
To realign the boundaries of probate, district, and circuit court boundaries in the more sparsely-populated northern part of the state, in order to ease the operation of Family Courts. These courts consolidate all family matters (such as child custody and support) in a single court, handled by a single judge court staff, including matters which might otherwise be divided among different types of courts. In the northern part of the state multi-county probate and district court boundaries do not coincide with circuit court boundaries. These would be adjusted to coincide.
