2001 Senate Bill 112 ↩
Senate Roll Call 651:
Passed
To update the Urban Cooperation Act to replace references to the "Dominion of Canada" with "Canada." The bill would also specify that "agency of the United States" would include a federally recognized Indian tribe exercising governmental authority over land in Michigan. This has to do with allowing tribal police to be deputized in Grand Traverse County to provide police protection at upcoming "Cherry Festival" events which will take place at a casino on Indian land.
