2001 House Bill 4398 ↩
Senate Roll Call 691:
Passed
To allow school districts to carry over unused “snow days” from the proceeding three years for purposes of meeting the minimum days of instruction per year required by state law. (For example, unused snow days could be “saved up” from average years to be used in a very snowy year). The bill was amended to also allow the Potterville School district to not make up the school days lost when a train derailment and hazardous material spill forced the schools to close for four days in May, 2002.
