2003 House Bill 4773 ↩
House Roll Call 405:
Passed
To require Friend of the Court (FOC) offices to perform a child support order review every 36 months on child support cases in which the child is being supported in whole or part by public assistance. Under current law, the review is required every 24 months. The FOC could also initiate a review upon the incarceration or release of either the payer or recipient, or upon the request of one of the parties. The bill also creates an administrative process for the FOC to review and modify support orders with due process. This would place in statute what is now current administrative policy. The bill is part of a legislative package comprised of House Bills 4768 to 4777.
