2003 Senate Bill 123

Senate Roll Call 27: Passed

To allow a county road commission, a township board (if it chooses), and the Director of the Department of State Police jointly to establish a speed limit on a county highway. Under current law, townships do not have this authority. The bill would require a unanimous vote by the board to revise a speed limit. For Wayne County (which does not have a road commission), the county executive would name the county's board member.
