2003 House Bill 4872 ↩
Senate Roll Call 518:
Passed
To provide an exception to the time limit for filing a neighborhood enterprise zone property tax abatement. The bill is worded in such a way that it only applies to 17 residences in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit. Under current law, structures in an enterprise zone can qualify for property tax reductions if they apply before a building permit is issued. The bill would allow the owners of these particular residences to qualify for a tax abatement.
